Blood Orange Margarita
Sweet, citrusy, and the perfect combination of flavors! This Blood Orange Margarita easy to make and is absolutely the perfect drink for any day of the week. Made simply with your favorite tequila, orange liqueur, Homemade Sour-Mix, and the perfect amount of fresh blood orange juice to give it that beautiful color, citrus-y punch, and truly makes it one of the best margaritas out there. Finish with a salt (or sugar!) rim to really give this drink an extra layer of depth. SO. GOOD.
About The Recipe
To celebrate National Margarita Day, we decided to try and make a blood orange margarita. To be totally honest with you guys, we have never tried a blood orange! 🍊
I know, I know. I don’t know how we’ve avoided it.
But, I have to say, It was absolutely delicious!
I am not a huge fan of oranges, but I absolutely adored this. This drink is perfectly sweet with just the right amount of sour-citrusy yumminess.
So, on top of being National Margarita day, today has actually been really nice! The sun has been shining and it’s been probably one of the warmest days we’ve had since we moved here! Shocking, I know.
So, we really couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate. This drink is the best way to cool off and enjoy the warmer days!
Ingredients
- Tequila
- Orange Liqueur
- Sour-Mix
- Blood Orange Juice
Instructions
In a cocktail shaker or a measuring cup, combine all ingredients. Pour over ice into a glass and serve!
If you’d like, you could rim the glass with salt but it’s not necessary. Garnish with a slice of blood orange.
