Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line a 9-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Roll out pizza dough into an 11"x16" rectangle.
  • Spread with pesto.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • Sprinkle with mozzarella.
  • Top with pepperoni.
  • Using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife, cut dough into thirds vertically.
  • Cut into fifths horizontally.
  • Place slices vertically, one at a time, into prepared pan.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove from pan.
  • Serve with tomato sauce.

Notes

Substitutions:
  • To make this recipe vegan, omit the pepperoni (or use vegan pepperoni!) and use your favorite vegan cheeses.
  • We used a full fat mozzarella cheese, but you can use skim or pre-grated mozzarella.
  • You can really add anything you like to this bread. Just make sure to not add too much, as it will not bake properly with too many fillings/toppings.
  • You can use store-bought pesto and store-bought pizza dough.

Expert Tips:
  • Do not add too many toppings to this.
  • You will need to hold onto the toppings when placing them into the lined loaf pan.
  • This loaf tastes GREAT dipped in our Homemade Tomato Sauce.
  • Stores and reheats well.
