Substitutions:
Camembert Cheese can be used instead of brie.
If you do not have prosciutto, you can use bacon.
Expert Tips:
Make sure to use thin asparagus spears! If they're thick, they will not cook properly.
The puff pastry needs to be rolled out on a lightly floured surface.
You can cut the rind off of the brie, if desired.
If the puff pastry isn't wanting to stick to itself, you can use a small amount of the egg wash to help stick it together.
Don't skip the freezing period! The pastry will be too warm to bake immediately and it needs to be cold to puff properly.
This recipe needs to be served warm, right out of the oven. This way, the brie is still melty and everything is warm and delicious!
