Fudgy Crinkle Top M&M Brownies

The perfect treat for any occasion! These Fudgy Crinkle Top M&M Brownies are extra chocolate-y, moist, dense, and SO delicious. The best part? Seasonal M&M's can be used to make these brownies fit any holiday theme.

Ingredients

  • cups bittersweet chocolate
  • 9 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 10 ounces M&M’s

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350℉/177℃.
  • Spray a 9-inch square pan with baking spray. Set aside.
  • Combine chocolate and butter in a microwave safe bowl.
  • Heat in 15 second increments, stirring after each, until melted and smooth. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla.
  • Whisk in chocolate mixture.
  • Stir in flour.
  • Fold in M&M's.
  • Pour into pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or to desired degree of doneness.

Notes

Substitutions:
  • Semi-sweet can be used in place of bittersweet chocolate, but keep in mind that the chocolate flavor will not be as strong.
  • Seasonal M&M's can be used to make these brownies more festive!
  • To add extra flavor, try using your favorite filled M&M's: peanut butter, caramel, brownie, etc.
Expert Tips:
  • Be careful not to over-mix the brownie batter.
  • If you’re worried the brownies may stick, place a piece of parchment in the bottom of your pan and spray with baking spray!
  • These brownies are very fudgy. If you like them a little more done, leave in an additional 5 minutes.
  • To get clean slices, be sure to wipe off your knife after each cut!
