Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Line sheet pans with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter and sugars.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Stir in vanilla.
Add flour mixture and mix only until incorporated.
Fold in chocolate and nuts.
Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop rounded mounds of dough onto prepared pans.
Flatten slightly.
Bake until starting to brown around the edges, 10-12 minutes.
Allow to cool on pan.
