I can't think of a single person on this planet who doesn't enjoy a good, hearty bowl of classic mac and cheese. I know I am definitely one of these people. This was actually my dinner the other night.
Just a big ole bowl of the best, easiest, creamiest macaroni and cheese.
And, I know you guys have been wanting a bite since we shared it on our instagram a few weeks ago.
So, it's finally here! We have perfected the recipe to give you guys something that you can make in twenty minutes or less.
YUP, you read that right. twenty minutes or less. That's how close you are to having something so comforting and homey for dinner/lunch!
But, I bet you're wondering what makes this recipe so creamy. The answer is our secret ingredient, cream cheese!
We don't add enough to change the flavor but the creaminess counter acts the cheddar and parmesan. If you've ever made macaroni and cheese, then you've probably run into graininess before. I know we have!
The cream cheese solves that in an instant.

Ingredients
- Macaroni
- Unsalted Butter
- All-Purpose Flour
- Whole Milk
- Parmesan Cheese
- Cheddar Cheese
- Cream Cheese
Instructions
Cook pasta according to box instructions.
In a separate pot, place butter over medium-low heat and allow to melt. Add flour and whisk together until well combined. This is called a roux.
Add a small portion of the milk to the roux. Whisk until smooth. Add the rest of the milk and let cook for about 2 minutes.
Now, add the parmesan and whisk until melted. Repeat with the cheddar until you have a smooth cheese sauce.
Next, add your cooked pasta and fold it in. Add the cream cheese and gently stir until it has thoroughly melted. Season with salt and pepper.
Spoon into bowls and serve!
Storing/Reheating
You can actually store it in freezer safe bags and it'll keep for months! You could also freeze individual servings, or larger portions. There's really no right or wrong way to do this!
To thaw it out, set it out on the counter about 30 minutes to an hour before you need it. Place in a bowl and reheat in the microwave.

- Make sure you add the cream cheese at the end. It won't work if you add it before.
- You can use any pasta you like!
- Top with fresh parsley, chives, or bread crumbs to change up the dish.
- This freezes really well.

The Creamiest Three Cheese Mac and Cheese
Simple, easy, and delicious! This creamy mac and cheese is seriously the only recipe you'll ever need! With three cheeses and only four other ingredients, it comes together in 20 minutes or LESS!
Ingredients
- 2 cups macaroni
- 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 ounces parmesan cheese, grated
- 4 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Set aside.
- in a 4 quart saucepan, melt butter.
- Stir in flour until smooth.
- Whisk in milk, a little at a time, beating after each addition until smooth.
- Return just to a boil, then reduce heat and cook until thickened, 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in parmesan cheese until melted.
- Add cheddar and stir until melted.
- Add drained macaroni.
- Stir in cream cheese.
