Quick and simple Better Than Takeout Shrimp Lo Mein… For those nights when you’re craving takeout, but don’t want to order something. Shrimp sautéed in sesame oil, and then tossed with garlic, red pepper flakes ,and some soy sauce. Ready to eat in JUST 45 minutes and SO GOOD!
4 Quick Tips For Better Than Takeout Shrimp Lo Mein
01 Be careful not to overcook the shrimp!
02 Everything is this recipe is adjustable to taste.
03 You can use and/or add chicken or beef to this lo mein.
04 Splash the noodles with cold water before adding them to the lo mein.
Cook lo mein noodles according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
Heat sesame oil in wok. Add mushrooms, garlic, and red pepper flakes and sauté until tender, about 3 minutes.
Stir in shrimp and continue to cook for 2 minutes.
Add onions, carrots, and broccoli. Sauté for 1 minute or until desired degree of doneness.
Stir in lo mein noodles. Mix thoroughly.
Add soy sauce.
