Notes

Storing Your Chewy Chocolate Chip Blondies

To keep your blondies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Avoid refrigeration as this can dry them out!
Freezing: Want to enjoy these treats later? No problem! Let the blondies cool completely before wrapping them individually in plastic wrap. Place the wrapped blondies in an airtight freezer-safe container. They can be frozen for up to 2 months. To thaw, let them sit at room temperature for a few hours before enjoying.

Tips For The Perfect Blondies:

  • Don't overmix: Overmixing can lead to tough blondies. Mix just until combined.
  • Use room temperature eggs: Room temperature eggs incorporate better into the batter for a smoother texture.
  • Don't overbake: Blondies are best when slightly underbaked for a chewy center. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out with moist crumbs.
  • Let cool completely: Allow the blondies to cool completely before cutting.
  • Get creative: Add mix-ins like nuts, dried fruit, or white chocolate chips for different flavor combinations.
  • Use parchment paper: Lining your baking pan with parchment paper makes it easy to remove the blondies and clean up.
  • Brown the butter: For extra depth of flavor, brown the butter before mixing it with the sugar.
  • Use quality chocolate chips: Good quality chocolate chips will make a big difference in the taste of your blondies.
  • To substitute salted butter: Reduce the salt in the recipe to ½ teaspoon.
