Notes

How to Store Your Bars

For best results, store your Peanut Butter Bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will keep for up to one week. While they can be enjoyed at room temperature, they are best served slightly chilled!

Tips for Success

  • Use creamy peanut butter: This will create a smoother texture. Natural peanut butter will not work in this recipe.
  • Press the base firmly: Ensuring a well-packed base is imperative for recipe success! If there are air bubbles in the base or its not packed down well, it may crumble apart when you try to cut it.
  • Let the bars set completely: This will help them hold their shape when cutting!
  • Use a sharp knife: For clean cuts, use a knife that's been warmed slightly with hot water. Wipe after each cut!
  • Get creative: Add mix-ins like chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or sea salt for extra flavor and texture.
  • Don't have unsalted butter?: No problem! Use salted butter instead and balance the flavor by adding a tiny pinch (about 3/16 teaspoon) of salt to the recipe.
  • No graham cracker crumbs?: 1½ packs of graham crackers equal about 2 cups of crumbs!
