Cake 2-1/2 cups all purpose flour sifted ¾ cup Dutch-process cocoa sifted 1-1/2 teaspoons espresso powder 2 cups sugar ¾ teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder 3 large eggs at room temperature 1 cup milk 1 cup vegetable oil 2 teaspoons vanilla American Buttercream 1 ½ cups butter room temperature 4 cups powdered sugar sifted 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 Tablespoons heavy cream
Cake: Preheat oven 325 degrees.
Grease and flour pans.
Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
Stir in liquid ingredients.
Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Pour into prepared pans.
Bake for about 25 minutes, or until it tests done.
