Chai Tea Eggnog Cookies with Eggnog Buttercream Frosting

The ultimate Christmas cookie! Everyone's favorite tea, mixed with the holiday classic...baked into a delicious cookie. Every bite of these Chai Tea Eggnog Cookies is sweet, buttery, perfectly spiced, and loaded with eggnog flavor. They are SO good!
Cookies 1 teabag chai tea 2 cups all purpose flour ¾ teaspoon baking soda 10 Tablespoons salted butter, room temperature ½ cup granulated sugar 1 large egg, room temperature 2 Tablespoons eggnog 1 teaspoon bourbon Frosting ¾ cup salted butter 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted 3 Tablespoons eggnog
Cookies Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line sheet pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
Grind chai.
In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and ground chai. Set aside.
With an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
Beat in egg, eggnog, and bourbon.
Add flour mixture.
Mix only to combine.
Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop cookie dough onto prepared pans.
Flatten slightly.
Bake for 8 minutes, until just starting to brown around edges.
If your tea bag has a whole cardamom pod, crack open the pod and discard the shell.
Do not leave chunks of spice! This needs to be a fine powder.
Do not beat the butter and sugar for the cookies. Just until creamed.
1 tea bag = 1 1/2 teaspoons ground chai.
If you don't want to use bourbon in the cookies, you can use vanilla extract.
