With a moist, perfectly sweet vanilla cake, loaded with extra sprinkles, and served with a large helping of vanilla ice cream or chantilly cream, this cake is sure to become your favorite single-serve dessert! There is nothing better than a single serve dessert, you know? Especially when they’re this easy to make! Plus, when you add sprinkles to a cake, it just makes everything so much better.

Actually, better is having a cake in 5 minutes or less! Which is exactly what this delicious Funfetti Mug Cake is.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I often get late-night cravings for something sweet. I don’t want anything extravagant, but something sweet and simple. So, I decided to bake up this cute little mug cake one day and, let me just say, it is probably now my new favorite treat!

It’s so easy, but so so delicious. Every bite is fluffy, sweet, hinted throughout with vanilla, and perfect for any occasion.

Equipment Needed

  • Microwave Safe Large Mug or Ramekin
  • Mini Whisk
  • Cake Tester
  • Microwave

Ingredients

  • Large Egg
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Whole Milk
  • Vanilla Extract
  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Sugar
  • Baking Powder
  • Salt
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

Whisk together egg, vegetable oil, whole milk, and vanilla in a large mug.

Whisk in the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Stir in the sprinkles. Microwave at full powder for 1 minute, or until cake tests done.

Serve with ice cream and extra sprinkles!

  • Every microwave is different. We have a 1250 watt microwave and my mug cake baked perfectly at one minute. Depending on your microwave will depend on the cook time! Adjust as needed.
  • If the mug cake is tough, it’s over cooked.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 Tablespoons whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • In a large microwave safe mug, whisk together egg, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla.
  • Whisk in flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in sprinkles.
