About The Recipe
There is nothing that I love more than the combination of chocolate and peppermint. Especially during the holiday’s! It’s like every bite if filled with just a little bit of Christmas cheer.
These cookies are definitely no different! Inspired by our dark chocolate peppermint brownies, these cookies will be on your must-bake list for Santa this year.
They definitely are on ours!
But, cookies never come out on the first try! Not even the third or fourth…
Cookies are one of the hardest recipes to develop. These chocolate cookies are at the top of the list! We tried a plain chocolate cookie, a cookie stuffed with candy, a cookie loaded with M&M’s…but nothing was really working. It just didn’t have that spark.
It wasn’t until a few days ago that I had an idea.
Since you all liked our peppermint brownies so much, why not try adding peppermint to the cookies? My brain started spinning from there! From that one thought, I came up with the best-ever chocolate peppermint cookes.
Seriously, it’s like a match made in heaven.
Pools of melted dark chocolate chunks, a peppermint-forward dark chocolate cookie, dipped in creamy sweet white chocolate, and finished with crushed candy canes… I mean, can it get more festive than this?
The best part is that these cookies make ah-mazing ice cream sandwiches! Serve with our homemade vanilla ice cream or peppermint ice cream to make this a holiday treat no one will forget!
Or, put these cookies inside your cookie box for gifting and you will have the ultimate gift that everyone will thank you for!
