Sharing our favorite Homemade Instant Pot Spiced Apple Butter, because it’s the end of October and I can’t think of a better way to end the month than with something this delicious. All it needs is a few simple ingredients. Fresh apples tossed in your instant pot with apple cider, boiled cider, lemon juice, brown sugar, white sugar, and just a little bit of apple pie spice, then pressure cooked, blended, and cooked again to create the creamiest, most amazing apple butter ever! It’s light and airy with strong Fall flavors, and warming autumn spices. It’s perfect for a chilly Fall morning, and best enjoyed when generously smeared on your favorite apple or pumpkin baked goods!

About The Recipe

This is one of my favorite Fall recipes ever. It goes with so much and it’s SO easy to make! I don’t think I could ever tire of it. From breakfast, to cocktails, to desserts…this is definitely the ultimate treat.

But, I’ll be honest, apple butter isn’t something that I had ever heard of until a few short years ago.

I was at a local fair with my mom and a friend in North Carolina when I first encountered it. I saw a giant sign that said, “Apple Butter”. My immediate reaction was, “what the heck is an apple butter?”.

At first, I thought it was traditional butter with apples stirred into it or something. There was a huge line for it so, it must be good…but we kept walking and looking at all the booths.

We actually kept winding back towards the apple butter signs so, I eventually asked the question that had been on my mind that entire day. What is an apple butter?

Low and behold, my mom explained to me what it was. I understood the appeal immediately and asked to buy some.

Somehow, I actually waited until we got home to try it. But after one little taste…it was truly love at first bite.

I think I put it on everything I ate while we were there! And, you guys know me, the first thing I did when we got home was ask my mom how to make it.

Now, we are sharing it with all of you! This is the easiest and ultimate apple butter recipe ever.

Transfer the apples into a blender and blend on high until smooth. You may need to do this in batches so, have a bowl handy to dump the blended apples into!

Once all the apples and it’s juice has been blended, place back into the instant pot. Cook on low sauté function, stirring frequently, for about 45 minutes, until butter is thick and mounds on a spoon.

Let cool and transfer into a jar!
