A Quick Overview: Strawberry Tiramisu
- Mix milk and amaretto: Instead of coffee, we opted to use whole milk to compliment the strawberries! If you aren’t a fan of amaretto, you can use Grand Marnier. Both are great in this dessert, but you can skip the alcohol entirely if desired.
- Dip ladyfingers: Ladyfingers soak liquid up quickly! So, don’t soak these cookies longer for 1 second in the amaretto mixture. Any longer and you may have a soggy mess!
- Whip mascarpone mixture: Combine the cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and the mascarpone in an electric mixer. Whip until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes!
- Assemble & Layer: Lay the ladyfingers on the bottom of your prepared pan. Lay sliced strawberries on top of ladyfingers and spread jam across. Top with whipped cream. Repeat the layers!
- Chill: It’s best to refrigerate this overnight, but you can chill it for up to 1 full day, so it’s a great make-ahead dessert recipe.
This recipe will work in an 8″×8″ or 9″×9″ pan, as well as an 11″×7″.

Notes + Tips!
- Tightly cover: Once assembled, cover the entire dish tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil to prevent air exposure and drying out.
- Refrigerate: Place the covered dish in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The flavors will continue to develop slightly during this time.
- Assemble just before serving: While chilling time is important, it’s best to assemble the tiramisu as close to serving time as possible. This helps prevent the ladyfingers from becoming soggy.
- Portion control: Consider pre-portioning the tiramisu into individual serving dishes for easier storage and portion control.
- Ingredient Quality: Use the freshest ingredients possible, especially the strawberries. Ripe, juicy berries will burst with flavor and elevate the entire dessert!
- Don’t Over-Soak: Briefly dip the ladyfingers in the liqueur mixture to prevent them from becoming soggy and mushy.
- Chill Time is Key: Allow the assembled tiramisu to chill for at least a few hours, ideally overnight. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully and the ladyfingers to soften for the perfect bite!
- Presentation Perfection: When ready to serve, consider garnishing your tiramisu with fresh strawberry slices or a sprig of mint for an elegant touch.
