These Are My Favorite Peanut Butter Balls

And here’s why:

  • A soft, creamy filling that has a delightful crunch from the graham crackers
  • Smooth and rich dark chocolate coating
  • A super simple no-bake recipe that the whole family will love
  • Recipe doubles easily
  • Makes a wonderful gift during the holidays

Think of these candies as peanut butter bars, but bite-sized!

We tested this recipe a few different ways, but these are the ingredients we found that work everytime:

  1. Melted Butter: During testing, we found that, if using softened/room temperature butter like we do for this giant peanut butter cup, the filling became too greasy and didn’t harden as well as the filling made with melted butter.
  2. Peanut Butter:  For the best texture, use a creamy peanut butter such as Jif (not sponsored, just love their peanut butter!). Natural peanut butters are not the best for this recipe.
  3. Powdered Sugar: Also known as confectioners’ sugar, this binds everything together and adds that perfect amount of sweetness.
  4. Vanilla Extract: Gives the filling that little bit of something extra.
  5. Chocolate: To cut some of the sweetness, we’re using bittersweet chocolate. Remember, use pure baking chocolate, like the ones you find in the baking aisle at the store, and not chocolate chips or chocolate candy coating.

Optional: If you’re making these for the holiday season, feel free to add some festive sprinkles on top!

They Are SO Simple To Make!

You won’t believe how easy this recipe is! Just melt the peanut butter and butter together, stir in the graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Scoop and measure 1 Tablespoon (about 18g) each. Roll into balls.

Chill the rolled balls for 1 hour in the refrigerator. If you’re in a bit of a rush, freezing them works too!

Dip in chocolate. If you have any chocolate leftover, feel free to drizzle on top. You can even add some festive sprinkles or chopped peanut! Once decorated, let the chocolate set.
